#FightFans we are in for a great stacked fight card this Saturday night with #InvictaFC22. We have one of the most anticipated rematches in Invicta FC history between Invicta FC Bantamweight Champion Tonya Evinger vs Yana Kunitskaya 2. Also on the card,

Hamasaki (current Atomweight champ moving up to Stawweight this bout) vs Livia Renata Souza, Deanna Bennett vs Jodie Esquibel, Jinh Yu Frey vs Janaisa Morandin, Amber Brown vs Ashley Cummins (Missouri native), Sunna Davidsdottir vs Mallory Martin, Kal Holliday vs Miranda Maverick, and Felicia Spencer vs Madison McElhaney.

It was a very controversial ending watching it live that night in November. Mike England was the referee that night. While standing, Evinger attempted to free her arm by pushing her heel on Kunitskaya's face. Mike England warned Evinger even though the maneuver is technically legal since Evinger was not striking a downed opponent. The win went to Yana that night via Armbar. Evinger appealed Missouri Commission noting that England warning forced her to move into position that allowed Kunitskaya to submit her. After few weeks of them reviewing everything, the decision was later Overturned by Missouri Office of Athletics as a NC. Which kept Evinger as reigning champion leading up to this fight as of last December.

My 8-bit Fighter of The Week is Missourian Invicta FC Bantamweight Champion Tonya "Triple Threat" Evinger.

Tonya Evinger has been in fight game for awhile with record of (18-5) with 1 NC in her professional WMMA career. There is not a fight she will back down from. Yes her last fight was a NC, but she has all the tools to be very successful if she would like to one day be in UFC. Great all around game & striking is very solid.

She was born in Odessa Missouri but found a home in Houston Texas. In addition, there is not a fan she will not turn away. She gives her fans quality time and respect. I sure hope UFC gives her that opportunity soon with a win over Kunitskaya. Tonya mentioned in recent interview that she would like to be a part of the elite promotion if they needed her but until than she is just going to keep on fighting until it is time. She is on a 9 fight win streak and looking for number ten to capitalize on come Saturday night. This should be a good fight to add to her resume and hopefully an opportunity in UFC.

If you are on Twitter, make sure to give us a follow @8bitmma for WMMA/MMA news, fighter polls, and other cool stuff coming soon. Enjoy the fights!
