#FightFans we have another good card coming to you live from Chicago Illinois. In the mainevent Quinton "Rampage " Jackson vs Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal. In addition, in the co-mainevent is Sanchez vs Galvao, Gormley vs Kharitonov, Roberts vs Kozola, and Carter vs Lahat. My 8-bit MMA Fighter of The Week goes to Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. Fighting out of Wolfslair Academy. Rampage was born and raised in Memphis Tennessee but resides out in Irvine California. He grew up a pro wrestling fan but found his love in MMA. Also, he is a gamer on the side with his own Twitch page to check out if that is your thing too. I remember Rampage early back in his days with King of The Cage. There has always been a buzz with Rampage in MMA World wherever he may be. He made a name for himself when he fought in the infamous Pride organization. Knocking opponents out as well as slamming them to the mat to be finished. Fast-forwarding a bit from his Pride days, it was not until May 26th 2007...almost 10 years ago is when Rampage dethroned one of the greatest to ever step foot inside The Octagon..."The Iceman" Chuck Liddell. Liddell was certainly in his prime at this point in his career but it was the fight Rampage needed that boost his career to stardom overnight. Rampage took the win by KO and won the belt. Soon after that, Rampage took on Dan Henderson and defended his belt that night at #UFC75. The latest test would come for Rampage Jackson when fought Forest Griffin at #UFC86. It was an all out brawl that went all 5 rounds. The Judges for the fight gave Rampage only 2 rounds to Forest 3 rounds for him to secure the win and become the new UFC Light Heavyweight Champion of The World. After all that, Rampage started getting into movies,tv shows, and all the other opportunities that comes with being famous. Rampage was defeated by Glover Teixeira on UFC on Fox 6 card on January 26, 2013 by Unanimous Decision. Rampage decided to move on from UFC and get a fresh start signing with Bellator MMA soon after that fight. His first opponent was Joey Beltran. That fight ended in Round 1 via TKO. Rampage continued to dominate whoever Bellator put in front of him after his debut. After court battles between UFC and Bellator over Rampage's rights. The courts granted Rampage an opportunity to fight one night with UFC. Rampage's return came at UFC 186. His opponent was Fabio Maldonado. The fight went all three rounds securing a win for Jackson. Rampage Jackson than went back to Bellator to finish what he started in Bellator MMA. Rampage's most recent fight took place last year on June 24th against Satoshi Ishii. The fight went all 3 rounds with Rampage taking the win with a split decision. Since that fight, Rampage has taken some time off to recoup and see what is next on the agenda. Rampage and King Mo fought before on a Bellator MMA ppv back when the promotion was not as popular as they are today. Rampage won the first battle that happen on May 17th 2014. Their relationship has been a love hate ever since. They will settle the score this Friday night in Chicago. Whether you are a King Mo or Rampage fan. These two fighters will give us all they have. This is Rampage last fight on his Bellator MMA deal. This should be a good fight to say farewell to one of the good fighters of our time that made an impact in MMA.
