#FightWeek heads to Nashville Tennessee this Saturday on #UFCFightPass and #FoxSports1. Nashville is most known for it's Country music and Legendary musicians. Some rich history there. Headlining this card is Cub Swanson vs Artem Labov. Also, we have two #WMMA fights on this card. Cindy Dandois, former Invicta FC fighter, makes her #UFC debut vs the UFC veteran Canadian Alexis Davis. Danielle Taylor vs former Invicta FC Atomweight Champion Jessica Penne. Women fights are always fun to watch. Not everyone is on aboard just yet for the Women fighting in the elite promotion but I am positive that one day, it will take off like a firestorm. In addition, UFC needs to do their job and keep pumping up the women fighters. Exposing them under the big spotlights so fight fans can see these amazing women go to battle every fight. All of these ladies have amazing stories to tell that the MMA World needs to hear about. If you stick with us at 8-bit MMA, we promise to build more exposure for these ladies every fight card. My 8-bit MMA Fighter of The Week is #KillerCub Swanson. This UFC veteran has battled it out through and through. He has never been an official UFC Champion just yet but he willing to fight whomever comes his way to earn that title shot before he hangs them up for good. He is a fan favorite. He never steers you wrong. Very honest and passionate about fighting. Swanson said in a recent media interview with Ariel Helwani on #TheMMAHour,that reason he is taking this fight is to stay active because he is expecting her first child in August. Swanson wants to be there in support of his girlfriend and plans on hopefully fighting for the belt after the birth of his baby. Every time you watch him, he has a ton of heart and that Warrior Spirit that keeps you engaged with his fights every round. Swanson was born in Palm Springs California but trains out at Jackson Wink MMA in Albuquerque New Mexico. Where notable champions train at like former #InvictaFC Atomweight Champion Michelle "Karate Hottie" Waterson,who recently fought in #UFCKansasCity this past weekend. Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone, is UFC veteran that great all around game, moved up a weight division to dominate. Diego Sanchez, UFC veteran, also featured on this Nashville card. Is looking for the UFC Gold pretty soon with the right fights. Jodie Esquibel, coming off a victory with #InvictaFC22 here in #kansascity this past March. Holly Holm is coming off three losses recently in UFC fighting in two weight divisions but is determined to get back to top again become champion one day. Holly Holm returns to 135 pounds, meets Bethe Correia in UFC Fight Night 111 headliner on June 17th in #UFCSingapore. Swanson is (24-7) in his #MMA career. 8 TKO's,7 submissions,and 9 decisions leading into this weekend. His last 3 fights have gone all 3 rounds ending in unanimous decisions. Swanson is a black belt in jiu-jitsu,scrambler,and ground game is top notch. Killer Cub has racked up 7 #FOTN and 2 KO's of The Night awards too. Swanson fought 3 times last year and is looking for this win against Lobov to secure that title shot later this year. Swanson last fight against Choi was epic battle last December on another #UFCFightNight that went all three rounds. This fight highlighted the night.
