KAN.SAS.CITY was lit last night when the cage door locked last night for the first fight. Great night of fights. Lower attendance than usual with Shamrock FC over at Ameristar last night but the fans were small but mighty. You still felt the high energy in the building. Venues like KC Scottish Rite, you can see and feel the support from these women's family, friends and the fans. It has to be a great feeling walking into the cage and hearing them greet you win or loss. All of the fights were amazing to watch last night but I will only highlight 3 on this one. The Christine Ferea vs Tiffany "Timebomb" Van Soest was a great fight to watch. I seen improvement out of both ladies since their last fight. Plenty of striking between these two ladies. Van Soest was exposed in her debut fight but this fight she stepped up everything. Van Soest even went for a heel hook. Van Soest still has some work to do which she is aware of but showed good signs leaving the cage with a win last night. Andrea "KGB" Lee vs Liz Taylor was very intense on all levels. Lee seemed little slower than usual because of a back injury when found out later about in her post-fight interview. Lee kept coming stronger at Tracy every round. Lee and Tracy traded off back and forth every round. Tracy displayed her grappling experience against Lee. Lee usually just dominates her opponents in first or second round finish but this last fight went the distance. Lee worked on her wrestling a lot to prepare for this fight. Tracy is new to Invicta FC fans but her experience definitely shows. Lee won by spilt decision. Lee secured her 3rd win in 5 months. In addition, she just signed a new 4-fight deal with Invicta FC so we will definitely see her as a champion one day with this elite women's promotion. Roxanne "The Happy Warrior" vs Sarah D'Alelio in co-mainevent was an epic performance coming from Roxy that set her in a very good light. High intensity battle. The fans and fighters were all behind Roxy last night. Every strike and takedown hyped up the crowd in attendance. Roxy won by TKO (strikes) in 3 Round. Roxy is on the right path again returning to Invicta FC with this win. We should see more of her now. She's fan favorite that still has a lot to give to this sport. Here are the final results from Invicta FC 23: Agnieszka Niedźwiedź def. Vanessa Porto by unanimous decision (29-28 x3) Roxanne Modafferi def. Sarah D'Alelio by TKO (strikes). Round 3, 1:37 Herica Tiburcio def. Tessa Simpson by split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) Kelly Faszholz def. Elizabeth Phillips by unanimous decision (30-27 x3) Andrea Lee def. Liz Tracy by split decision (30-27, 28-29, 29-28) Ediane Gomes def. Pam Sorenson by split decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28) Tiffany Van Soest def. Christine Ferea by unanimous decision (29-28 x3) Yaya Rincón def. Brooksie Bayard by unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) Every fight was amazing. Invicta FC next stacked card will come in July but there will be plenty of time between now and than with other women fighting in other promotions.
