My 8-bit MMA Fighter of The Week on this card is Tecia "Tiny Tornado" Torres. She was born in Fall River, Massachusetts but now resides in Colorado Springs,Colorado with her fiancé and UFC Fighter Raquel "Rocky" Pennington. Torres fights out of Altitude MMA with her new coaches but she usually held her fight camps with American Top Team in Florida. Torres grew up into martial arts at a very young age winning medals and trophies for all the hard work she puts into everything. Torres in her amateur WMMA career, picked up some belts along the way as she kept driving to make her dreams happen in this sport. Torres really made an impact when she signed with the elite #WMMA promotion #InvictaFC and debut at #InvictaFC3 on October 6th, 2012 vs Kaiyana Rain. Torres came out victorious and continued to dominate her opponents with #InvictaFC. Torres always has explosive strikes and smart strategies for every opponent to defeat them. Torres never backs down from a fight and trains relentlessly on a daily basis whenever UFC decides to call her up anytime nowadays. UFC basically stripped all the great talent from Invicta FC Strawweight division with few others to make the first all-female Ultimate Fighter show in UFC history for their 20th season. Torres climbed her way almost to the very top but her first loss came when she fought Carla Esparza in the quarter finals by a majority decision on the show. Torres continued on a three fight winning streak after the show was over. Torres picked up a tough loss against Rose Namajunas in August of last year. Torres fought again last February of this year on #UFCFightNight against Bec Rawlings and won by unanimous decision. Torres while fighting and living life, earned her Bachelors Degree in Criminology than with the recent long layoffs for women in UFC, Torres completed her Masters Degree in Criminology this past May. In addition, Torres always treats her fans with dignity and respect. For instance, when Torres was out handling business like usual, she took one of her hardcore fans out for lunch this year. Torres is always giving back at the right times with her crazy schedule. This Friday, she will take on Juilana Lima. Lima's original opponent is on temporary suspension for the fight due to testing positive on ostarine in USADA drug screening as reported by MMAFighting.com. UFC called up Torres as the replacement. This fight makes perfect sense because Torres is always looking for a fight. This should be exciting card with Torres vs Lima opening up the #UFCFightPass preliminaries. #TUF25 card is intact with the undercard but main-card is To Be Determined due to the show not being finished just yet. The mainevent is already set between Michael Johnson vs Justin Gaethje. Tune in for a great #TUFRedemption season card and a fighter from the season will be crowned as TUF 25 Winner.
