By Darryn Smith My 8-bit MMA Fighter on this card goes to Cynthia Calvillo. She was born in San Jose,California. She fights out of Team Alpha Male in Sacramento California. Calvillo specializes in submissions and is very fluid on transitions. UFC.com broke down her skill set in percentages. Calvillo is 76% submissions,13% Striking, and 11% Takedown. Calvillo is still a young fighter with a lot toughness, plenty of heart, and continuing to get better everyday. Calvillo's UFC debut win was against Amanda Cooper via submission on March 4th of this year on the #UFC209 fight card. A little fun fact she mentioned in her post-fight interviews is that she use to be a waitress at The Cheesecake Factory but she said not anymore with this new UFC win. UFC President Dana White was so impressed with Calvillo debut performance, that White even made a bold statement on the scrums to maybe start putting her up there as one of the future prize fighters like a Ronda Rousey or Conor McGregor fighter that MMA needs that can bring in more fight fans and make great fights. Calvillo a month later remained healthy and back on a card for #UFC210 vs Pearl Gonzales. Calvillo continued her win streak by defeating Gonzales via submission win. Calvillo still remains undefeated when she steps up to fight a well-known veteran in #WMMA, Joanne "Dr. Evil" Calderwood. Calderwood comes in with a record of (11-2). This should be a exciting fight to watch between these ladies. Definitely #support these ladies and rest of the fighters on this card. Here is how the #UFCFightNight card from Glasgow will be: #Maincard Gunnar Nelson vs Santiago Ponzinibbio Joanne Calderwood vs Cynthia Calvillo Stevie Ray vs Paul Felder Jack Marshman vs Ryan Janes Khalil Rountree,Jr. vs Paul Craig James Mulheron vs Justin Willis #UFCFightPass Brett Johns vs Albert Morales Leslie Smith vs Amanda Lemos Continue to follow us on #Twitter and #Facebook. We appreciate the support! Enjoy the fights!
