By Darryn Smith Well at the end of the night, Mayweather was the fighter that came out on top as your winner of the "Money Fight" and went home with the "Money Fight" belt to end his career at 50-0. Passing up boxing legend and champion Rocky Marciano. Mayweather goes down as one of the best boxers of our generation. Congratulations to Floyd "Money" Mayweather for all his accomplishments inside the boxing ring. McGregor showed a ton of talent in there trying to take Mayweather out round by round with his background in boxing and Mixed Martial Arts. It was very entertaining boxing match. It kept all of us on our toes whether you were for Mayweather or McGregor. By the 8th round, McGregor fatigue definitely showed when the momentum shifted than Mayweather took advantage of it to wear down McGregor even more leading into the later rounds. Mayweather almost knocked McGregor down in the 9th but Conor hung tight in there to finish out the round. In the 10th round, McGregor seemed extremely gassed out but wanted to give the fans one last chance to take out the undefeated champion. Mayweather wailed away with flurry of punches on McGregor against ropes when Conor did not intelligently defending himself for a solid minute which caused the referee Robert Byrd to stop this fight by TKO. In conclusion, this fight was exciting for both worlds to collide with these two true warriors. It gave us something to talk about week after week. Honestly, I believe both sides should go back to their respective sides and use this as a learning experience to keep growing in combat sports. I take nothing away from what Conor McGregor did in boxing ring last night. McGregor did his best to go for the win but came up on the short end. Mayweather did what he does best and went out on top with this monumental win to finalize his boxing career. Hats off to both fighters for entertaining us. This was definitely a moment in time no fight fan will never forget. Thanks to all that watched! Photo Credit: UFC
