Bellator 186 Rewind

This fight card was live from Bryce Jordan Center on The Penn State University campus last night. It was a pretty exciting card while UFC 217 New York City card has taken a majority of the spotlight this week. The co-mainevent between Ilima-Lei Macfarland vs Emily Ducote for The inaugural #BellatorMMA Women’s Flyweight Championship belt was on the line. Their fight went all five rounds with the ladies trading off strikes but Macfarland showed more dominance every round. In the final round, Macfarland transitioned beautifully from a triangle hold to a submission armbar for the finish. Ilima-Lei Macfarland became the first ever Women’s Flyweight Champion last night with all of her sisters from Hawaii in attendance. It was an emotional post-fight interview as she thanked everyone that has been with her from the start. We at 8-bit MMA congratulate Ilima-Lei Macfarland on this major accomplishment.
